Well, 2016 has been a really special Chinese New Year first day and birthday, a 2-in-1 celebration.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by on my Facebook wall to wish me Happy Birthday and also to all those who sent personal Whatsapp messages or called. Being such a busy time, I appreciate your messages even more, so thank you!
I spent the day with my husband and family, serving guests who came for the traditional family open house where homecooked Baba Nyonya food and tidbits were served. It was a beautiful and meaningful day; photos were taken for remembrance, relationships and bonds were strengthened.
People did what they did best – they ate and talked and joked and laughed. Despite the heat, no tempers flared and everyone worked together as a team to get the work done! We’re all beat and tired after the whole day but our hearts are full.
I hope it’s not too late to send you my wishes for the New Year: Xin Nian Kuai Le 新年快乐, Wan Shi Ru Yi 萬事如意, Xin Xiang Shi Cheng 心想事成, Hou Nian Ji Xiang 猴年吉祥
